Creative Nature Superfoods

Brownie Mix*

(Serves 20)

Bake up some tasty treats with this simple, easy brownie mix. Add some secret treats for easter or enjoy them plain with your favourite drinks. Suitable for everyone in your family. I love baking from scratch but sometimes it would be handy to grab a bag of premixture and only add a couple of extras.

What I love about Creative nature is they give you a normal recipe and a vegan one. I would personally try both as the Vegan side is a healthier option if I wasn’t feeling as daring. on this occasion, I made yummy normal brownies.

Suggestion:
Accompany with a hot chocolate if you are a chocoholic of your favourite coffee.

I decided to put some mini eggs and smartie orange flavour eggs into my brownies after they came out of the oven. I bet these would be amazing served hot with ice cream. Sit back and enjoy
the chocolate explosion in your mouth. These were also delicious cold with a nice cup of coffee. looks like I’ll be taking one with me too work tomorrow for my morning coffee. I’m not usually a brownie fan but these are more cakey brownies which suit my taste perfectly.  Ok, I accidentally ate more than one. Trust me they are worth it! Happy Easter! You can enjoy them all year round, just play about the toppings and get creative.

Healthy Flapjacks*

21% protein the Cacao Orange bar is a great snack. This is definitely an acquired taste but I enjoy the raw bars having tried similar in the past but this one really gives you a burst of orange flavours. the bonus is there are great if you suffer from any food allergies as they are, Gluten free, Dairy free, wheat free and peanut free. The Raw Cacao is high in fibre bar. Personally, for me, this wasn’t to my taste as I found it quite bitter and struggled to eat it. However, everyone’s palettes are different and I think if I cut it up I could manage to eat it in sections across a morning to get my fibre intake if needed.

The Cacao Orange definitely is the favourite on my side.

Homemade cupcakes Strawberry Milkshake

Bake your favourite Vanilla sponge and add a generous topping of the Hummingbird Strawberry milkshake icing. Trust me this is a one you can add onto a chocolate sponge, anything, to be honest, it’s ridiculously tasty.

My cake Recipe:
1.Weigh 6 medium eggs ( on this occasion the weight was 403g this can change depending on your eggs)
2. Take 1 egg off the scales and put it back you will only use 5 eggs ( weight now = 337g)
3. Add your eggs to your mixing bowl. (Quick whisk/ electric mixer)
4. Weigh 403g Caster Sugar – Sift into your mixing bowl.
5.Weigh 403g of Self-raising Flour – sift half into your mixing bowl
6. Add 300g of soft slightly salted butter into your mixing bowl. (Quick whisk/ electric mixer)
7. Sift the rest of your Self-raising Flour into the mixing bowl
8. Add 1 Tlbs of Vegetable Oil (Quick whisk/ electric mixer)
9. Your mix should fall easily off your spoon.
10. add 2 spoon fulls into your casing depending on how big you want your cupcakes. Don’t be shy.

Why not add some mini Easter eggs to the top instead? After all, chocolate is good on top of anything, am I right?

What will you be getting up to this Easter? 🐣

    1. I know unbelievable 😍 I mainly use the butter-icing recipes and use my own cake ones. I’ve yet to have a full baking day and work just from the book 🤓 what’s your favourite recipe? X
