Top Tips for when you travel to Las Vegas

Welcome to Viva Las Vegas. Bursting with colour the city lights entice you to want more. Explore the strip at your own pace as this is the city that never sleeps, so why should you? Nothing goes unnoticed, yet no-one gives a Hooters. Shop till you drop. Carb till you roll. Spin till you win, Or get a cupcake from the ATM. The strip will temp you with all its goodies. Travel to Venice, Egypt, Paris, New York and more, all in a day. Party around the pools with a lavish cocktail while you soak up the desert rays.

Now you’ve had a quick intro for Vegas, One of the first things we did when we planned our trip to Sin city was to go on Pinterest. I pinned so many posts and to help write our bucket list. This will give you a chance to find out what Vegas has to offer if you are a first timer. Most things on the list are actually FREE.

1. Create a bucket list

Get yourself some ideas but make your own.

Depending on how many nights you are going for writing around 20 things to do in the time you are there ours involved zip line down Freemont street, visit the cupcake ATM, Bellagio fountains, eat at a MAN vS FOOD restaurant. We did all and more, there is so much to do in Vegas it’s not all about the gambling and partying.

2. Transport

Uber will be your friends from the airport if you’ve skipped the transfers as it only costs $18 to get not the strip. Be careful with the taxis that are already there they will charge you $25-$30 dollars. Never admit it’s your first time as they will take advantage of this.

The Wax and Duce buses are brilliant for getting around you buy a ticket for 24hours.

Two-hour pass is $6
A 24-hour pass is $8
A 3-day pass is $20
*Prices are subject to change*

3. Shopping

3x Michael Kors Handbags 1x Purse £348.00 ( 70% off the retail price )

Las Vegas Premium North outlets
Miracle Mile Shops
Grand Bazaar Shops
Fashion mall
The Forum Shops at Caesars
The Boulevard Mall
The Shops at Crystals
Las Vegas Premium South Outlets

There are lots of shops on and off the strip you are truly spoilt for choice whether you want to shop high end or grab your essentials there’s plenty of shops for you to choose from. I would highly recommend going to the Fashion Mall and the South Outlet

4. Food

Dennys is a no from me, we wouldn’t go back.

There are endless places to eat around the strip you are spoilt for choice but it all depends on the food you fancy. you have anything from Mc Donalds to Gordan Ramsey’s restaurants to choose from. Why not sample a Buffet whilst you spend some time here I’d recommend going to one for lunch as we found the breakfast buffet we sampled to be limited. Plenty of places to grab snacks but we both recommend nipping to Walmart and grabbing loads of snacks for a fraction of the price.

If you want to grab a coffee on the go you have Starbucks everywhere within walking distance from each other which I loved. You will also see a lot of people carrying around different size tubes, cups, guitars filled with an alcoholic beverages from places like FAT TUESDAYS.

Walmart

Get supplies. The strip is expensive for your snacks and essentials but for the sake of a little trip to the famous Walmart you can pick up everything you need to keep you going for your time in Vegas. it cost us around $15 for an Uber.

Off the Strip

You have shops like Tj max, dollar tree and more to really sample all of the American shops off strip just get an uber and have a look at Google maps. there are lots of other trips like visit the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, The Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon. when you Fly into Vegas you will actually see the Hoover dam, red rock canyon and Grand Canyon so if you’re not too bothered about going make sure to book a window seat on your way in!
